NWSL Podcast May

Podcast — What’s up, Internet? For the second time this week, you’re joined by Rachael Kriger, who is also with Trebor Tracy, to talk about the National Women’s Soccer League. The NWSL regular-season is underway and the two take look at recent news around the league, discuss contenders and pretenders and do pick ’ems.

In regard to news, the two discuss the quick action from the NWSL and Houston Dash in the suspension of head coach James Clarkson. Also, Rachael and Trebor discuss Jessica Berman’s first few days on the job and the new U.S. Soccer, USWNT and USMNT Collective Bargaining Agreement that was historic in the first to have Equal Pay across the board.

In the second segment, the two pick contenders and pretenders in the early NWSL season. Rachael has a surprising contender pick, while Trebor gives love to one expansion team.

Finally, the two pick a few matches this weekend to keep an eye out on and what they expect. Liga MX Femenil will be on May 20 and May 23, while the NWSL has a few good matchups this weekend. Of course, the duo discusses the upcoming UWCL Final this weekend between Barcelona and Lyon. And, of course, Rachael has a hot-take for that game.

A native of Oakland, CA, he moved to LA in 2015, having covered LA soccer since 2018. Avid supporter of women’s sports, always willing to talk the beautiful game. Arsenal fan molded by endless hope and expected disappointment. Outside of sports he can be found in the mountains, telescope in hand, gazing out into space. Talking that talk on things LA sports.
