Be sure to check out more NHL predictions in the coming days.
Montreal Canadiens vs Buffalo Sabres
Head-to-Head: Canadiens 0-0 Sabres
TV: MSG (Upstate NY)- NHL Network; Sportsnet; RDS
Our featured and only game of NHL predictions is an Atlantic Division battle between two of the more exciting and promising teams in the league. Montreal is coming off an overtime-win Saturday night versus the Washington Capitals. Cole Caufield got the overtime-winner for the Habs after blowing a 2-0 lead. Caufield is the team’s leading goal-scorer with three so far this campaign. Jake Allen is the projected starter, but always check social media before locking in a fantasy goalie. Montreal has been giving teams fits and isn’t going to give teams an easy time.
Eric Comrie is the likely starter for the Sabres, who have won two out of their last three after dropping their first three games. Buffalo beat the New York Islanders, 3-1, on Saturday night. Rasmus Dahlin has five assists this season, as he’s celebrating that new contract extension in style. There are still plenty of expectations on the Sabres to end the longest playoff drought in North America. However, the team has played a lot better in recent games.
This could be one where the over gets a look, but Buffalo gets the win with both teams on the front-end of a back-to-back set.
Prediction: Sabres win 5-4.
Be sure to check out our NHL predictions in the coming days. Tuesday’s slate will be huge, but we’ll help you get through it.
